Dining Out at The Alma
Homecooked food and cask marque beer
The Alma cooks traditional pub food and is open for business lunches, snacks and evening meals during the week and weekends.
The Alma is Cask Marque accredited. What is ‘cask marque’? The Cask Marque scheme is operated by an independent body called Cask Marque Trust which is a limited company. Pubs that join the scheme are visited unannounced by an independent accreditor twice a year. Ales are tested for temperature, appearance, aroma and taste. If all the beers meet the required standard, the pub passes and receives a plaque.
