A traditional pub in historic Cambridge with hardwood floors, old-time beer barrels and memorabilia adorning the walls. The Alma Cambridge has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. A place where you can enjoy some home cooked food, real ale, join our pub quizzes (every Thursday) and watch rugby and other sports, while on a Sunday evening from 8pm listen to Songmith Sessions with live acoustic local bands.

Dining Out at The Alma
Homecooked food and cask marque beer
The Alma cooks traditional pub food and is open for business lunches, snacks and evening meals during the week and weekends.
The Alma is Cask Marque accredited. What is ‘cask marque’? The Cask Marque scheme is operated by an independent body called Cask Marque Trust which is a limited company. Pubs that join the scheme are visited unannounced by an independent accreditor twice a year. Ales are tested for temperature, appearance, aroma and taste. If all the beers meet the required standard, the pub passes and receives a plaque.

What said about us
“The welcome was friendly as was the whole atmosphere in the pub, we watched the rugby and then ate dinner afterwards and without fail every one of the group said how impressed they were with the food, I personally had the wild boar and cider pie which I would highly recommend. If you like to watch sport, Rugby in particular in a pleasant pub atmosphere then this is the place to go.”
“Fantastic food, great atmosphere – and nothing is too much trouble. A big five out of five! ”
